Avangrid Renewables appoints a two-person leadership team

With immediate effect, Bill White and Jose Antonio Miranda are named co-presidents and chief executives.

Bill White and Jose Antonio Miranda have been named co-presidents and chief executives of Avangrid Renewables, the company’s sustainable energy division, with immediate effect.

White will be the company’s offshore president and CEO, while Miranda will be the company’s onshore president and CEO.

The changes, according to Avangrid, are due to the departure of current president and CEO Alejandro de Hoz.

Since October 2020, White has worked as Avangrid Renewables’ head of US offshore wind, where he has overseen the creation and execution of the company’s comprehensive offshore wind strategy, which includes projects in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and North Carolina.

Prior to joining Avangrid Renewables, he worked in the offshore wind industry in both the commercial and public sectors.
